Do you have a quote that guides, inspires, or embodies your training/racing/life?
Go Fast. Take Chances. It has helped me push out of my comfort zone and improve as a runner.
Why do you run?
I run because I absolutely love it. Running makes me a better wife, a better friend, a better daughter - simply put; it makes me a better person. Time on my feet with the wind in my hair reminds me of the little things I have to be thankful for. It makes me thankful for all my body can do and gives me strength when I see continual improvement. It melts away the stresses of life and bonds me to the amazing community of runners.
What is your favorite place to run?
Stones River and Shelby Bottom Greenways in Nashville.
Running gear you can't live without?
Anything Oiselle, plenty of Nuun and always Swiftwick socks.
When you're not running where would we find you?
You'll find me spending time with my husband and chasing our dog, Chester. I love spending time in the kitchen baking up sweet treats and cooking delicious meals.
What is your favorite post-race treat?
I have often spent the last few miles of races thinking about delicious sweet potato fries. A good glass of wine is a close second.
