Do you have a quote that guides, inspires, or embodies your training/racing/life?
“Ninety-eight percent of success is in the head and the heart."
Why do you run?
I could have so many answers to this question over the years. But, most recently, I have run to stay in shape throughout my pregnancy and to get back in shape once my daughter was born. I run because it makes me a better mom and wife; it is my favorite way to relieve stress or to think anything through. I am happiest when I am able to devote some time to myself, get outside and run.
What is your favorite place to run?
The unpaved country roads near my house in upstate New York.
Running gear you can't live without?
The clothing I wear changes with the weather, but I have to have my jogging stroller to push my daughter and my running watch to record my time. I also like to run with a running cap, sunglasses, and a handheld water bottle.
What is your favorite local running store?
The only local running store...Fleet Feet Sports, Albany, New York.
When you're not running where would we find you?
I would be spending time with my little family...my husband, my daughter and our two dogs. In the summer you can find me outside catching up on magazines by the pool and in the winter you can find me blasting the heat indoors while catching up on the DVR or internet shopping. If I'm not in one of those places, check Target.
What is your favorite post-race treat?
A Diet Pepsi and vanilla ice cream in a waffle cone, with sliced strawberries on top!
Complete the sentence: If I was stranded in a hotel room with one movie and one book, they would be…
Big and The Irish Princess by Mickey Clement.
