With a Type A personality, I have difficulty not hitting all the splits in a workout that I am supposed to be aiming for. I need to remember that not every workout will be perfect but to keep working hard and hopefully it will get me there!

Why do you run?
I run for so many reasons, the first reason is that I love it - I feel better when I run and I'm happier when I'm running. Secondly, it has brought me some of the best relationships I have today, I have made the BEST friends (FAMILY) through running and met the love of my life at a marathon. Finally I love the feeling of accomplishment that I get from training and racing - it is such a high that I am addicted to!

What is your favorite place to run?
White Rock Lake in Dallas: I look forward to looping the lake every weekend.

Running gear you can't live without?
My IPod shuffle that I have nicknamed "Buddy" for long lonely training runs and/or speed workouts. I also love Hammer Endurolytes for summer running - they definitely help in the battle against heat and humidity.

What is your favorite local running store?

When you're not running where would we find you?
Sleeping, out and about with my husband eating pizza and drinking wine or enjoying a latte!

What is your favorite post-race treat?
Post race treats are one of my favorite things about running! My favorite is a big burger w/ bacon and avocado with fries and a beer and/or a bloody mary or a giant breakfast at Crossroads (my favorite breakfast place in Dallas).

I can't think of one of each! I love too many books and can't think of my favorite movie!
