Why do you run?
So many reasons! I love the way running makes me feel mentally and physically, and really find that the run is what makes me feel most alive, strong and focused. Running track and cross-country in high school and college, I also found running to be a social activity. At all points in my life, my closest friends have been my running buddies and teammates. More recently, I have realized how much I run for my health, both now in the future.
What is your favorite place to run?
Schenley Park in Pittsburgh and with my dad on his usual 3.8 mile morning route in my hometown.
Running gear you can't live without?
Garmin, Oiselle Distance Shorts, and my foam roller.
What is your favorite local running store?

Researching in my lab, hiking with my husband and dog, in the kitchen testing out a ridiculous Pinterest-inspired receipe, or having a phone date with an old friend,
