Do you have a quote that guides, inspires, or embodies your training/racing/life?
"Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out." -Robert Collier
What is your favorite post-race meal?
Anything and everything!
What is your must-have piece of running gear?
I have a love/hate relationship with my Garmin. It drives me crazy sometimes, but I don't like doing a workout without it.
Do you have a training philosophy?
Forget yesterday's and tomorrow's runs, just think about today's workout today. Don't over-think your training, just do it.
What is your favorite place to run?
I love the three trails right outside my door! I also enjoy running anywhere in Columbus, Ohio because it brings back good memories from college.
Why do you run?
I love running and cannot imagine my life without it! When running, I feel free and am able to get lost in my thoughts or think nothing at all. It's also a time to test my limits and show my strength. I like to switch it up by running alone, with family, with friends, and with my baby in the stroller.
What animal do you most resemble in your racing and why?
People have always said I look like a deer when I'm running. I run on my toes and seem to "prance".
What is your favorite activity, when not running?
I really enjoy being outdoors. Whether taking a walk with my baby, going for a hike with my husband, or just grilling out on a summer evening, I love being outside!
