Do you have a quote that guides, inspires, or embodies your training/racing/life?
"Can't never could." and "Go Fast. Take Chances."
Both of these remind me to "believe" in myself, in God and in his perfect plan for my life.
Why do you run?
I run for my sanity, for health and for shared passion my husband and I have for the sport. Running is an outlet for me to release the stresses of my day, a time to pray and to discuss solutions for problems that seemed insurmountable when sitting in my office. It provides clarity and allows me to "unplug" from this technology driven world (which I typically love) and just enjoy God's creation.
What is your favorite place to run?
Either along the Riverwalk or over the little Ortega bridge first thing in the morning! Love sunrise over St. John's river.
Running gear you can't live without?
Oiselle Distance Shorts (I've become pocket obsessed), Garmin (stat nerd), hat/visor, and Camelback (in the summer).
What is your favorite local running store?
Jacksonville Running Company
When you're not running where would we find you?
Curled up with my Kindle, cruising the neighborhood with my bike, brunching with friends or in front of a computer organizing PRS running club and plotting my next running/travel adventure.
What is your favorite post-race treat?
Beer (I'm gluten intolerant so don't typically get to drink it) and fro-yo..not together!
