Do you have a quote that guides, inspires, or embodies your training/racing/life?
Bring grateful for my health and the body I have been given puts things in perspective for me, particularly when it comes to running. When I get tired, I think about those who can't run, and I keep going...sometimes I even run faster or farther. A little gratitude goes a long way.
What is your favorite post-race treat?
Chocolate milk.
What is your favorite place to run?
Anywhere outside! I especially love paved trails and being surrounded by nature.
Why do you run?
For me, running is an efficient, butt-kicking workout but it's also "me" time every day - whether I'm enjoying the company of a friend, pondering life or jamming out to great music on my iPod. My runs are what I make them. Nice legs and feel-good endorphins also keep me coming back.
Where would we find you when you're not running?
At the kitchen counter, cooking and blogging.
