Do you have a quote that guides, inspires, or embodies your training/racing/life?
“Running has taken me in, and continues to comfort, heal and challenge me in all kinds of magical ways. I am not a 'good runner' because I am me. I am a good 'me' because I am a runner. - Kristin Armstrong
Why do you run?
I run because it helps me see what I am really made of. It brings out the best in me during some of the hardest moments - and I am truly better because of it.
What is your favorite place to run?
Through the town I grew up; I live 1300 miles away from it now, so getting to experience it on a long run is one of my favorite parts of going home.
Running gear you can't live without?
Nathan handheld water bottle; Texas weather gets brutal and it helps me beat the heat.
What is your favorite local running store?
Rogue Equipment; they are the absolute best when it comes to fitting shoes and offer the best running community through their training counterpart, Rogue Running.
When you're not running where would we find you?
You would find me at home either watching my latest obsession with Netflix or reading a book on my nook (both involve listening to my boyfriend yell at his video games in the living room).
What is your favorite post-race treat?
Tex Mex Food; I live in the perfect place for it. I usually head to Chuy's for their amazing salsa and Mexican Martini.
Complete the sentence: If I was stranded in a hotel room with one movie and one book, they would be…
Clueless and Shopgirl by Steve Martin.
